I want to apologize, up front, for my ignorance…but I guess I’m really not understanding the dizzying array of movie file format choices for uploading video material.

I just uploaded three films (for the third time now), but they no longer have some of the automatically-generated viewing options associated with them this time (such as the h.264, MPEG2, and Ogg Video). What did I do wrong; what format did I need to upload in order to trigger those other options to appear? Is it too late for me to fix them—do I just need to upload a different type of file format in the first place?

Links to the films are:

Tracey Pooh, are you still around?

My apologies; I am very technically-challenged, and—as you can see—I’m encountering a lot of difficulty in trying to get these films to work.

How does everything look now…?

much better!
i can help you with the .mp4 formats you uploaded a little if you like....

they look like mpeg4 simple profile mp4v video (not the ideal h.264 for max compatibility), and aac audio (good), under the hood.

if you or i rename the .mp4 extension to .mpeg4, say, we can go about making the .gif, thumbs, .ogv and .mp4 (this one would be a web-friendly h.264 with "moov atom at front" (which allows flash/all browsers to insta-seek even if the entire .mp4 hasn't buffered yet etc...))

Thank you so much for your response, Tracey Pooh.

I changed the names of them (to add "mpeg4") under the Meta-data edit screen -- was that the right place to do it...?

hmm, don't see the mpeg4, but i do see larger files that have ".mpg" extension now.

so those should be fine -- i've queued all 3 items to "derive" now. should take 1-4 hours for each, depending, and the pieces/"derivatives" should start incrementally add in as they are made.

hope that works out nicely for you!

I’ve spent hundreds of hours working on these films, but they would never have gotten a ‘life’ on the internet without your help. Thank you.
